Expanded Timber Framing August 5-10, 2024
This 6-Day Workshop expands on lessons learned during the previous 6-Day Boot Camp Workshop with an expanded focus on cutting wedged half-dovetail tie beams as well as the roof system, possibly including framing a cupola. During this class we will learn by progressing "From the Known to the Unknown" through a series of problem solving steps that will demystify challenging layout situations. We will expand our tool set to include a variety of routers for cutting housings. We plan to raise this project frame, off-site on Saturday, August 10th. On-site primitive camping is free. Although instruction will run Monday-Saturday, campers are welcome to camp free of charge over the weekend and explore the many fantastic local attractions.
